HUNTING
in South Africa
When hunting in South Africa, we focus on three main areas. Every one of these areas offers something completely different, but makes for unforgettable hunting and a high-end experience. Hunting in South Africa takes place from February to November.
Limpopo
Limpopo is the northernmost province of South Africa and situated two hours’ drive from Johannesburg. With its vast areas of bushveld, open savannah wilderness and an abundance of wildlife species, it is the perfect destination for wildlife and nature enthusiasts.
A variety of activities are available in and around our main hunting areas, ensuring non-hunters can also enjoy a true African experience. The most popular activities include game drives, interaction with elephants, horseback riding through the bushveld to see the wildlife up close and spa experiences.
Limpopo is predominantly an agricultural province with large natural areas not affected by urban development. The wildlife here is truly spectacular and Limpopo is known to produce top quality trophies year in and year out.
Savannah and Alpine Safaris offer great plains game and dangerous game hunting including buffalo, hippo and crocodile on privately owned land in excess of 100 000 acres. Wing-shooting experiences can be added to any safari.
Kalahari
A second hunting area is the Kalahari, a semi-desert area in the Northwest province. This dry, vast area changes dramatically from savannah and bushveld to rolling sand dunes. It is home to a wide variety of wildlife and makes for a unique experience when tracking animals in the sand.
The Kalahari is great for plains game hunting, including gemsbok, springbok, Lechwe and many more. However, the area is likely best known for its majestic Kalahari lion and magnificent buffalo. There is nothing quite like tracking these dangerous animals in the Kalahari sands and it makes for an adrenaline-packed safari.
KwaZulu-Natal
KwaZulu-Natal is a coastal province with a diverse habitat of mountains, savannahs, open grasslands and valleys. Species like nyala, bushpig, bushbuck, red duiker and suni are native to this area, but many different species can be hunted in the province.
Zululand is traditionally home to the Zulu tribe and the birth province of Shaka Zulu. The province is rich in culture and a large portion is made up out of game reserves and national wildlife parks. This makes it a fantastic destination for families and non-hunters. A big attraction for anglers is Jozini dam which offers superb tiger fishing.
OTHER COUNTRIES
Zimbabwe
If you are looking for the true African adventure, walking and tracking animals in search of the perfect trophy in the untamed wild in Zimbabwe is the place to be. With an abundance of animals in enormous free-range areas it is the ultimate dangerous game destination.
The concessions are close to Victoria Falls International Airport which make them easily accessible. Our hunting areas border the Zambezi river and offer great hippo and crocodile hunting, as well as an opportunity to do some tiger fishing. These areas have produced excellent elephant, buffalo, leopard and lion trophies in the past.
With the Victoria Falls on your doorstep, this natural wonder is a must-see during or after your safari.
